Addison & Co Ltd is a part of the Chennai-based light engineering conglomerate -Amalgamations Group. Today, the Group’s products enjoy a high degree of preference amidst all categories of vehicle manufacturers. This commanding presence in the OE field has been a direct result of the rapid strides on the technology front. Addison operates out of Chennai with its Registered and City Administrative Office located at Chennai, and its state-of-the-art factory located at Irungattukottai, 40kms from Chennai. Its Branches are located at Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana  and Kolkata. It started the manufacture of Cutting Tools & Grey Iron Castings in the year 1955, thus becoming a pioneer in the Indian Cutting Tools Manufacturing companies. It enlarged its market in the year 1963, when it started exporting cutting tools to countries outside India. Addison’s overseas presence and distribution have over a time, moved from strength to strength. Its Foundry Division, dealing with Castings, is also located at Chennai. It further enhanced its manufacturing capabilities by starting to manufacture Broaches in the year 1999, and further moved to manufacture of Solid Carbide Tools in the year 2002. Addison also deals with buying & selling of Solid Carbide Tools, Hack Saw Blades, Carbide Tipped Masonry Drills & Miracle End Mills. At present, It has ventured into buying and selling of Gear Hobs. Addison has obtained ISO 9001 2000 certification, therby reiterating the commitment in the manufacture of quality Cutting Tools.
