HYDAC was founded in 1963 as a company for hydraulic accessories. Today it is an internationally active company group with over 9000 employees, 50 branch offices and 500 trade and service partners worldwide. HYDAC stands for hydraulics, systems and fluid engineering. The company’s HYDAC components can be found in all areas of industrial and mobile hydraulics. HYDAC units adjust the parabolic troughs of solar energy plants or actuate valves and armatures in power plants. Vibrations in large-size diesel engines are damped by hydraulic accumulators from HYDAC, again the shaft movements on drilling ships are compensated by hydraulic cylinders from the company. HYDAC’s supply programme includes hydraulic accumulators, fluid filters, process filters, coolers, electro-hydraulic controls, industrial valves, sensor systems for pressure, encoder measurement and solenoid technology, cylinders, pumps, mounting technology, armatures, condition monitoring and much more. The company plans and supplies ready-for-use hydraulic control and drive systems, including electronic controls and regulators for mobile and stationary machines and plants for a wide array of industries. HYDAC’s high level of innovative strength, which is characterized by close collaboration with research institutes and universities, is also clearly reflected by the large number of HYDAC patents.
