A leading global manufacturer and supplier of Machine Tool Accessories, Pragati Automation Pvt. Ltd earlier known as Pragati Engineering Works was established in 1977, by Mr. A.V. Sathe and Mr P.D. Kulkarni, with the objective of manufacturing world-class machine tools in India. Its early products included copy turning attachments, copy milling valves, and chucking cylinders. It manufactured ‘BTP’ Bi-Directional Tool an electro-mechanical Turrets in 1990, producing around 45,000 units, of which 16,000 units were of the overseas market. Presently, it produces a variety of turrets, like hydraulic turrets, servo turrets, and power turrets, in addition to related products in varied requirements of metal cutting machines includes power chucking cylinders, tool discs, and tool holders. It is also known for the production of Automatic Tool Changers (ATC) for machining centres, majorly exported to Germany along with other countries like Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the USA, China, Taiwan, and Korea. Service network throughout India is supported by trained personnel, as well as direct service centers are stationed worldwide in Germany, Poland, UK, and China.
