IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 Rides Exhibitor Growth Wave

IAA TRANSPORTATION will take place from September 15-20, 2026, in Hannover, where companies from the commercial vehicle, transport, and logistics sectors will present their innovative transport and logistics solutions. An initial look at the companies registered to date shows a further increase in exhibitors—a clear signal of the industry’s confidence.

“The once again strong resonance from leading companies all over the world impressively shows how committed our industry is to shaping a sustainable future for the commercial vehicle and transport sectors. In 2024, exhibitors at IAA TRANSPORTATION already set new standards as drivers of innovation. In 2026, we are coming back and proving once again: we deliver. As organizers, we are pleased to offer this progressive industry a fitting stage for their innovations once more,” says Jürgen Mindel, Managing Director, German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).

Current Status: Exhibitor Numbers on the Rise

As with IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024, an increase in exhibitors is already emerging in the run-up to the event. Currently, the number of registrations for IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 is approximately 11 percent higher than the comparative value from January 2024; several halls at the exhibition grounds are already overbooked. More registrations are coming in daily. Equally encouraging is that the number of international exhibitors remains at the record level of the last IAA (currently 70 percent). Companies from China, Turkey, and Italy are particularly well-represented this year. Another positive highlight is the number of newcomers: 23 percent of the exhibitors will be participating in IAA TRANSPORTATION for the first time to showcase their innovations in Hannover.

Return of Renault Trucks and Mercedes-Benz Vans

Alongside newcomers such as e-van manufacturer FLEXIS, development service provider IAV, suppliers Igus and Stoneridge, and charging infrastructure provider Zerova, well-known industry leaders like Renault Trucks are returning to IAA TRANSPORTATION to present their latest premieres. This also includes Mercedes-Benz Vans, which have confirmed their participation with a dedicated presence. Additionally, truck manufacturers such as BYD, DAF Trucks, Daimler Truck, Dongfeng, Ford, Ford Trucks, KIA, MAN Truck & Bus, MAXUS, Scania, VW Commercial Vehicles, and Volvo Trucks will be showcasing their products.

Strong Presence of Suppliers and Body Manufacturers

By far the most strongly represented exhibitor group to date is the suppliers. Companies such as AUMOVIO, Robert Bosch, BPW Bergische Achsen, Daikin, Horse Power Train, MAHLE, Rupf Automotive, WISTRA, and the ZF Group, among others, will be showcasing their innovative developments and products. They are followed closely by body manufacturers, including Fliegl Fahrzeugbau, JOST-Werke Germany, Junge Fahrzeugbau, Kässbohrer, Kögel Trailer, Krone Trailer, Meiller Kipper, Meusburger Fahrzeugbau, Spier, and Schmitz Cargobull, who will present their diverse range of products as global market leaders at IAA TRANSPORTATION in Hannover.

Multiple Platforms for Participating Companies

IAA Conference: Now an integral part of IAA TRANSPORTATION, the conference program—which visitors can attend without an extra ticket—will once again offer insights from renowned opinion leaders and companies presenting their visions for the future of the transport industry. In addition to the Main Stage, there will be an Industry Stage reserved exclusively for exhibitors. The conference topics reflect the industry’s current trends: from fleet electrification and charging infrastructure to automated transport, AI, and hydrogen solutions. Startups will also find great value at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026: young companies from around the world will present their ideas for the transport industry in a dedicated Startup Area.

IAA Experience: Here, the focus is on experiencing and trying out the latest innovations, ensuring lasting memories for visitors and customers. This year, the IAA Experience consists of four different formats:

Test Drives offer exhibitors the opportunity to provide supervised test drives for interested customers in the latest low-emission and zero-emission light and heavy commercial vehicles of all classes, as well as buses, on the exhibition grounds or public roads.

ADAS & Telematics demonstrations make driver assistance and telematics systems tangible during supervised drives on the exhibition grounds.

With the Cargobike Parcours, IAA TRANSPORTATION offers a realistic testing environment for cargo bike innovations.

The Shuttle Bus connects the individual exhibition halls in a loop throughout the entire duration of IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026. Interested companies can use their latest vehicle innovations for this scheduled service, which is free of charge for visitors.

The preliminary list of exhibitors for IAA TRANSPORTATION is expected to be published in June 2026 on the event website. Ticket sales for visitors will begin in April, as will accreditation for journalists.
