Recognizing the potential of women in breaking barriers and delivering high-quality results, Sakthikumar, commented, “What we started at a small scale in our newest plant GmH in the backward districts of Tamil Nadu has made us realize the possibility of increasing their percentage share. Today, 28 percent of our workforce on the shop floor are women. We’ve taken special care to create an ecosystem fostering inclusion by building hostels, creches, and establishing a woman empowerment committee. We’ve also tied up with universities to upgrade their skills from Diploma Engineer trainees to Graduate Engineer trainees as they work and learn simultaneously.”
