Siemens and CII Present ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata: The Creator of Destinies’

Siemens Ltd along with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has created a Coffee Table Book titled ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata: The Creator of Destinies’. The book was presented to the Indian Railways at the 15th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) in New Delhi. Published as an ode to Indian Railways, the book pays homage to the quintessential role played by Indian Railways in the nation’s development and being the true creator of destinies (Bharat Bhagya Vidhata).

Indian Railways is a testament to the nation’s rich history, cultural diversity, and economic development. The book focuses on Indian Railways’ key role in connecting the length and breadth of India, fostering national integration and contribution in socio-economic development. The book also brings together cherished memories and the unique nostalgia people have associated with the railways. These tales, presented along with awe-inspiring photography, enliven train experiences. The book has contributions from Sunil Mathur, MD and CEO, Siemens Ltd; Gunjan Vakharia, Head - Mobility Business, Siemens Ltd; and Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII

Stating that the Indian Railways has truly been the ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ for our nation, creating destinies and transforming people’s lives for the last 170 years, Mathur said “Its legacy has been magnificent, and we take great pride in partnering the Indian Railways as a technology partner contributing to this socio-economic development. Their future-ready plans anticipate the evolving infrastructure needs of India. I wish the Indian Railways all the best in all its endeavors of Mobilizing India. We stand firmly committed to the growth story of Indian Railways that spreads across the sprawling landscape of the country, touching the life of every Indian.”

Similarly Vakharia commented, “At the heart of Indian Railways lies the profound vision of ‘Nation Building’, similar to what we at Siemens resonate with. Today, this vision is a collective force coursing through the veins of our nation, thanks to Indian Railways, our lifeline. The true torchbearers of this shared vision are the masses, who fuel India’s dynamic economy. As our economy thrives, so do its demands for mobility. In response, one of the world’s largest railway systems, stands ready to efficiently meet the growing needs of our nation.”
