Taural India’s Bharat Gite Honored for Global Impact at Maharashtra-Europe Business Forum

At a prestigious gathering hosted by the Maharashtra-Europe Business Forum in Frankfurt, Bharat Gite, Managing Director and CEO, Taural India, was conferred the ‘Business Icon of the Year 2025’ award. The honor was presented by Uday Samant, Cabinet Minister for Industries, Government of Maharashtra, along with P Velrasu, CEO, MIDC; B S Mubarak, Consul General of India in Frankfurt; and Eberhardt Steinrücke, Ex-Director General, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC).

The event was part of ‘Maharashtra Business Day 2025’, jointly hosted by the Maharashtra-Europe Business Forum and the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt. It was attended by senior delegation from the Maharashtra Government and brought together over 500 entrepreneurs and industry leaders from India and Germany to explore cross-border industrial opportunities.

“Bharat Gite’s journey reflects the kind of entrepreneurial spirit we hope to see more of in Maharashtra. His work demonstrates how local innovation can thrive on global platforms,” said the Cabinet Minister for Industries. “To support such collaborations, we’re setting aside 500 acres in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for German investors and 100 acres for Non-Resident Maharashtrians who wish to contribute to the state’s industrial growth.”

On the occasion, Gite said, “It’s a true honor to receive such recognition on an international platform. This award not only reinforces our commitment to building world-class capabilities and driving innovation but also reflects the potential of Indian manufacturing on the global stage. Our journey with Taural India is a testament that global impact is possible when we combine purpose with persistence.”

Earlier this year, Gite signed an INR 500 crore MoU with the Maharashtra Government at the World Economic Forum in Davos to establish an advanced manufacturing facility of Taural India in Supa, Ahilyanagar district. The project is expected to create significant employment opportunities and support industrial development in the region. His recognition on an international platform further underscores the growing role of local entrepreneurship in shaping Maharashtra’s industrial future and signals new possibilities for global collaboration and investment.
