

Atlas Copco India Wins Energy Efficiency Award for Industrial Air Compressors

Atlas Copco (India) Ltd, a leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems, has won the Energy Efficiency Manufacturing Excellence Award in the category ‘Industrial Air Compressors’ at the 12th Green Energy Summit and the 4th Green Urja and Energy Efficiency Awards hosted by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The award was felicitated by Suman Chandra, Director, MNRE; Anil Razdan, Chairman, ICC National Expert Committee on Energy and Former Secretary Power, GOI; and Ashvini Kumar, Former MD, SECI, and Former Senior Director, TERI, at a ceremony held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on February 16, 2024. Milind Mehta, National Projects Manager, Applications & Execution, AIF, received the award on behalf of Atlas Copco India.
As part of Atlas Copco’s commitment to providing environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions, the company recently announced the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Pune. This facility will rely on solar panels for approximately 80 percent of its energy needs, while three-fourths of the water consumption will be sourced from rainwater harvesting. The facility will be constructed to meet LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) criteria.
