Beckhoff Rhein-Ruhr opens a third office in Aachen, after the completion of the expansion of the premises. Despite the cancellation of the inauguration it received postive response for the choice of its new location. Especially on the basis of a strong economic region with important customers who were previously served by the Moers branch for two decades, and exciting academic landscape with proximity to RWTH Aachen University, one of the most renowned internationally reputed German universities for engineering science courses.

The new office in Aachen is currently focused on intensive university management – both in the areas of support and application as well as in the recruitment of young talents. In the medium term, the company plans to expand its new location into a fully-fledged office with sales, application, and support departments. Ralf Stachelhaus is the branch manager of Rhein-Ruhr and responsible for the new office, along with two colleagues who have been working in the recent location. The areas of application & university management are handled by Christian Kukla, and on-site customers are managed by Erich Klaßen .

The collaboration between the company and the university had existed for many years. Many in-house faculty use the company's products as well as technologies, including TwinCAT vision, machine learning / high-precision measurement technology, classic automation with PLC, safety, drive technology, CNC & HMI, both in the training of young engineers and for research purposes.
