CII Karnataka’s Annual Members Meet 2023-24: New Leadership, New Horizons

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Karnataka, organized its Annual Members Meet 2023-24 in the city. The meet was marked by an intriguing discussion on ‘Towards a Competitive and Sustainable Karnataka@100: Growth, Inclusiveness, Globalisation, Building Trust’. CII Karnataka also announced the election of new office bearers for CII Karnataka State Council for the year 2024-25. Venu Nuguri, MD & CEO - India & South Asia, Hitachi Energy, was elected as the New Chairman while Rabindra Srikantan, Founder and Managing Director, ASM Technologies Ltd will serve as the Vice Chairman.

Nuguri has been leading Hitachi Energy in India since its formation in 2019, overseeing its listing on both Indian stock exchanges. Under his leadership, the team has executed several nation-building projects that make India’s energy system more sustainable, flexible, and secure. ESG being central to his management style, Nuguri has initiated projects in smart mobility with industry and academia and collaborated with leading institutes. Social projects under his watch have extended to afforestation, healthcare, and providing support to several hundred women in engineering.  

As the head of Region South Asia since 2016, he is leading 9,000 passionate professionals to enable advanced technologies for power grid infrastructure and smart cities. And in his role as a member of the Global Executive Team, he is shaping the way Hitachi Energy remains true to its purpose of advancing a sustainable energy future for all. He is also the Chairman of Hitachi Energy Technology Services Pvt Ltd and as Board Members and Chairman of Hitachi Energy operations in Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore. His active participation in leading programs like the G20 Summit, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, and others makes him the voice of the energy industry. 

On the other hand, Srikantan, a successful entrepreneur with over 35 years’ experience in the areas of ER&D and Design Led Manufacturing. He is the President and Chief Operating Officer of ASM Digital Technologies Inc, USA; Director, ASM Digital Technologies Pte Ltd, Singapore; and Designated Partner of RV Forms and Gears LLP. ASM Technologies Ltd is a publicly listed company in India. With over three decades of experience in the areas of Engineering Services, Design Led Manufacturing. ASM is focused on two main verticals: Semiconductor/ Electronic Equipment and Transportation. The company has multiple delivery locations in India with a global presence in USA, Singapore, UK, Canada, Japan, and Mexico. Srikantan has been a State Council member of CII Karnataka for the last three years and has led the Karnataka State IT & ITES Panel as convenor for the last two years.
