Duroflex will launch a mega state-of-the-art foam and mattress manufacturing plant in Indore with the goal of increasing production capacity and expanding business operations nationally. With the new plant, the company aims to generate revenue of ₹500 crore from the domestic market by 2023.
The new facility is spread across 4-hectares wherein 2 lakh sq ft will be utilized for the mattress furnishing plant and 1 lakh sq feet for the foam production unit making it the largest foam manufacturing plant in Central India. It has the capacity to produce and process an impressive 1500 metric ton of foam per month and 1000 mattresses per day.
Set up at an investment of ₹50 crore, the company’s new unit is equipped with the latest German foaming technology by Henenke. Besides manufacturing its wide range of mattresses and sleep accessories including its signature range, Duropedic, the plant will also be a hub to support the manufacturing of the brand’s ever growing product portfolio like its WFH furniture, designer beds and more. The plant is also equipped with an Inland Container Terminal (ICT) which will aid in boosting the company’s exports business, thus creating additional business growth.
In this backdrop said Mathew Chandy, Managing Director, Duroflex, ““This new facility in Indore will help us be closer to our consumers in the west market and service their needs faster. It will also support our hyper growth and footprint expansion in central and north India.”
This new facility is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 500 people in the first two years of operations. The company endeavour resonates with that of the Government’s ‘Make in India’ vision as it remains committed to supporting and growing the Indian economy and generating job opportunities for the locals. The new unit is Duroflex’s 7th manufacturing facility in India and the first one outside of South India.
