Rockwell Automation to Open Manufacturing Facility in India

Announcing a significant investment in Chennai, India, Rockwell Automation Inc, a pioneer in industrial automation and digital transformation, plans to open a new manufacturing facility in the region. This expansion reflects India’s growing influence in the global economy, driven by robust economic policies and rapid growth.

With its inauguration scheduled for the first half of 2025, the 98,000 sq ft facility is expected to employ around 230 workers by the end of the year. This strategic move aims to bolster the company’s supply chain resilience and sustainability efforts in the Asia Pacific and global markets.

Located in Oragadam, Chennai, alongside the company’s existing CUBIC manufacturing site, the new facility aims to increase operational synergies and agility. According to Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation India Pvt Ltd, the facility’s location enables the company to enhance collaboration with their existing operations, thereby boosting productivity in the region.
