Starrag Help Deliver Superior Submarines to Royal Australian Navy

Starrag Group has been selected to supply a vertical gantry machine, Droop+Rein G 110TT HR100 C for submarine construction through the Naval Group. The French Group was chosen by the Australian Government to deliver the Royal Australian Navy with a group of 12 national superior submarines, known as the Attack Class. The Attack class fleet will be built in a modern submarine construction yard in Osborne, South Australia.

Naval Group Australia is a subsidiary of the French shipbuilding company Naval Group and is the strategic design & build partner for the Australia's Future Submarine Program. Starrag Group was awarded the contract for its vast years of experience with technology competence in managing massive and complex projects. In addition to large hull elements and high-precision components handling capacities, and traversing 14,000 x 13,000 x 3,500mm paths in the X/Y/Z axes and an 11m turntable, the gantry will be Australia's largest machine tool ever commissioned.

Starrag's Australian sales partner H&H Machine Tool Solutions will promote local work and supply the necessary equipment. The company will produce key components, provide trained personnel to assist with the construction of the gantry and provide technical support for the machine's entire life cycle, ensuring a permanent role in future servicing and maintenance. Furthermore, Starrag will provide the organization with the requisite resources through on-site training and quality assurance, transmitting essential skills and sovereign capacity to Australian industry.
