Alchemy Cleantech, Paragon Biofuels Inaugurate Ankleshwar Bio-CNG Plant

Alchemy Cleantech and Paragon Biofuels jointly inaugurated the Ankleshwar Bio CNG Plant, a purpose-built company established through their strategic partnership to advance sustainable waste-to-energy infrastructure in India. The inauguration marks a landmark step in India’s transition toward a circular energy economy — one that converts organic waste into clean fuel, recovers valuable nutrients, and creates meaningful livelihoods along the way.

The Ankleshwar Bio CNG Plant is engineered to treat 43,800 tonnes of organic waste every year, converting it into 2,373 tonnes of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) — a direct replacement for conventional CNG. In doing so, the facility will prevent 17,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to 6,272.6 hectares of forest land or 7.95 million liters of petrol saved, making a substantial contribution to India’s net-zero ambitions. The process also generates 7,300 tonnes of solid FOM and 27,375 cubic meters of liquid FOM per year — nutrient-rich bio-fertilizers that support sustainable agriculture and close the loop on waste.

Beyond its environmental impact, the Ankleshwar Bio CNG Plant is a catalyst for inclusive economic growth. The facility will create direct employment for approximately 50 people and support indirect livelihoods for around 150 more through waste aggregation, logistics, and allied vendor networks — demonstrating that sustainability and economic opportunity are not trade-offs, but partners.
