Berkenhoff GmbH, the manufacturer of high-tech precision wires, presents new brass wire: BETTERBRASS, under the Bedra umbrella brand. To build this unparalleled new Spark erosion (Electro Discharge Machining: EDM) wire, Bedra blends better continuous casting process with better heat treatment methodologies.

The brass wire electrode delivers extremely reliable performance, with plug-and-play on all machine types, cuts up to 10% faster than traditional brass wire, powered by a special alloy (CuZn40) and casting technology. Coupled by paraffin-free surface, tensile strength of 900MPa/130,000PSI, with 1% elongation, and diameter of 0.20 / 0.25 / 0.30mm for spool types K160, K200, K250, K355 P5, P10, and P15. This electrode's specially developed heat treatment process enhances cutting performance and faster eroding, lowering overall costs.
