Bondada Engineering Ltd, one of India’s leading infrastructure and EPC companies, has secured a prestigious Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package of a 250 MW Solar PV Project co-located with a 50 MW / 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
Valued at approximately INR 1,338 crore, the award marks a significant milestone in Bondada Engineering’s growth journey and further reinforces its position as a trusted partner in India’s accelerating energy transition. The project is scheduled to be executed within 18 months from the date of receipt of the notification of award.
The project forms part of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd’s ongoing efforts to expand utility-scale renewable energy generation while integrating advanced energy storage solutions that enhance grid stability and reliability. The combination of solar generation and battery energy storage reflects the next phase of renewable energy deployment in India, where clean energy generation is increasingly supported by storage infrastructure to ensure round-the-clock power availability.
This prestigious award from one of India’s foremost public sector renewable energy companies underscores Bondada Engineering’s proven expertise in executing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects. With this latest addition, Bondada Engineering’s Solar EPC order book has expanded to approximately 5.5 GWp, while its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order book has grown to approximately 1.1 GWh, providing strong revenue visibility and strengthening the company’s long-term growth pipeline.
