Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), organizers of Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) 2021, launched monthly online events to showcase new products and market trends. TAITRA has been intensively preparing for the TIMTOS online exhibition to meet the needs of exhibitors and buyers, aside from using the TIMTOS Salon and TIMTOS Glimpse series of films as warm-up activities since August. The online edition of TIMTOS is expected to debut soon in an Online-to-offline (O2O) mode together with the physical exhibition. TIMTOS will be held on March 15-20, 2021 in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 and Hall 2 and the World Trade Center Hall 1. The number of booths is projected to reach 7,000 with the support of domestic and international manufacturers and TIMTOS 2021 will be a major machinery industry event next year.
The TIMTOS Salon event aims at inviting important international machine tool association representatives to share first-hand information on local markets. In this backdrop V Anbu, Director General, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) was featured who shared the current situation and trend of the Indian manufacturing industry under the COVID-19 pandemic. He opined that India offers the machine tools sector with plenty of opportunities irrespective of the pandemic outbreak and the adoption of Bharat Stage BS6 emission norms.
