Zayer Unveils its New Milling Machine Named THERA

Zayer manufactured a new THERA milling machine with the specifications of high performance and increased production capacity through pendulum work, which helps save time and expenditure. The machine was specifically designed for a client working in the railway industry and is suitable for large and heavy components that require complex machining. It offers high ergonomic standards for operator visibility, accessibility and functions. The build of the machine maintains great stability while machining large components.

The machine is a 13.5×3 m table and has a 4 m distance between columns, reaching 1770 mm from the nose of the head to the table, with a ram travel of 1, 5 m. The tool magazine, which has two arms, feeds the two machining areas. The machine is also provided with two heads magazine, with two positions each one.

Both the head and tool magazine are protected against chips and coolant liquid. These characteristics make it the suitable machine for sectors such as rail, aeronautics, large machining and general machining, which require complex works on large and heavy components. It offers great versatility and with its 30º head, it can reach areas of difficult access, machining at negative angles and 360,000 positions.
