PaintExpo 2020 an international trade fair for industrial coating technologies in Karlsruhe was cancelled due to Covid-19 imposed travel restrictions, stricter hygiene, and mainly for 'Corona Regulation for Trade Fairs' a distancing regulations for trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg by the state government. However, its next edition will take place in the stipulated exhibition centre as scheduled from April 26-29, 2022.

 The decision was taken on the basis of a survey of all the event exhibitors, a large number of whom were also against postponing the fair again, deeming the participation of the trade fair a non-priority now. Currently, health protection and preventing the spread of infection continue to be the primary role, thus face-to-face contact and travel are being confined to necessary interaction.

“Together with our exhibitors and partners, we had hoped to hold PaintExpo 2020 in October with corresponding health and safety measures for all participants. However, the circumstances have changed in the meantime, amongst other things due to new regulations for holding trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg, so we now have to cancel the event after all,” confirmed Jürgen Haußmann, Managing Director, Event promoters FairFair GmbH.
