Siemens Ltd launched its 8th edition of Siemens Scholarship Program 2020-2021 based on the German model of Dual Education which hones skills of the youth to become industry-ready engineers, launching a sustainable career in engineering, R&D or manufacturing. The company provides financial assistance under this program to deserving meritorious students. Additionally, internships, mechatronics, soft skills trainings, projects, and mentorships provided by the company will also familiarize these bright minds with the dynamics of the industry, thereby leading to their holistic growth.
The scholarship follows a rigorous selection procedure for first-year students of government engineering colleges from different streams. It is available for students throughout the four years of graduation and 50% of scholarships are intended for girls. The curriculum had included 735 students from 77 government engineering colleges across 23 states in India as of 2020. The last date for receiving applications is February 15, 2021.
